May 2010 We recently signed a deal with 8 Star Entertainment for worldwide rights and look forward to a hopefully mutually beneficial and fruitful collaboration. We are excited to see our film becoming available to more and more people and are grateful for any feedback we get.
October 2009 We're delighted to announce the arrival of our European PAL DVD. Highlights are subtitles in 11 European languages as well as over 70 minutes of bonus material. You can purchase the DVD online here. December 2008 Seasonal Greetings! We're delighted to let you know that Through the Eastern Gate will be distributed on DVD by the Alive Mind label. Retail DVDs will be available in early January 2009, we've been busy putting together over an hour of bonus interview material...
January 2008 We're excited to announce that Through the Eastern Gate has been licensed by the renowned Spiritual Cinema Circle for distribution to their members throughout 75 countries. The film will be included in their March compilation. http://www.spiritualcinemacircle.com In parallel we are working hard on getting a retail DVD out. Most likely it will be available through a number of online channels (amazon, indiepix and possibly others) by springtime. Please stay tuned and be patient for just a little longer. May 2007 Great news! Through the Eastern Gate will premiere at the 2007 Maui Film Festival at Wailea (13 - 17 June, 2007). Details on programming follow shortly...
January 2007 The original soundtrack is finished - great work and thank you very much Catalin! We are now getting first DVDs ready to enter a number of festivals with our film. If all goes well we'll premiere at Visions du Réel in Nyon this spring. Final audio mastering for Beta tapes with Lenhert Kjeldsen (Mastertouch, Copenhagen) coming up in February.
August 2006 The final cut of Through the Eastern Gate has just been finished and the original soundtrack is being composed as this website is going live. We expect to have a finished product by mid-January 2007 and are looking forward to seeing it distributed on a wide scale thereafter. A number of promising distribution contacts have been established already, but as of today no final decisions have been taken. We are therefore still open to hear from you if you have suggestions and want to support us in spreading this message of hope.THANK YOU! |
